Being a person who likes to flow as a river does, I always feel vibrant in changing atmosphere. Right from a cup of tea or other caffeinated drink to the smell of the wet soil, everything makes me starve to know more. "Books" the utmost creation mankind have ever received is highly hunger provoking, each and every word that I go through that builds up sentences pilling up into phrases turning into a book is a poetry in itself. Cluster of emotions together creating clouds of feelings to know more do more is where happiness is created and distributed. The time we are going through is difficult. If we blame the virus directly, it won't be fair. The soul purpose of living is lost, we socialize a lot through e-media yet keep our self isolated from our family. We complain about everything that is a bit irritating or disturbing but feels lethargic to find a solution or an alternative. Quick emotional saying make us feel for it, but have least patience to read a book. Instant news are a matter of sharing and discussions but news papers are hard to read and editorials are least shared. Yet hope is what exist even in the gloomy hours. I have met people who talks about Gabriel Garcia Marquez and his "HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE", and about roads that are full of Gulmohars. A night where few friends talking about ghazals and genres, the literature within it and the way notes are being arranged ends up on a morning filled with hopes that the sun shall never set.
We need to see things through the Snell's Window only then we shall be able to breathe the air, see the starry sky, inhale the fragrance, hear the music that heals the mind and the soul.
Talking about Snell's window let me write a paragraph from a favorite book of mine, "The Hungry Tides" by Amitav Ghosh.
" In the clear waters of the open sea the light of the sun wells downwards from the surface in an inverted cone that ends in the beholder's eye. The base of this cone is a transparent disk that hangs above the observer's head like a floating halo. It is through this prism, known as Snell's window, that the oceanic dolphin perceives the world beyond the water "
A hunger that is making me starve for more knowledge about plants is a recent interest that I have developed. A money plant and a snake plant is what I began with, now I have a fittonia also known as mosaic plant and a gifted spider plant. Night blooming jasmine also known as Hasnahana is what I have planted recently, after hearing the word in a song of a budding Assamese singer.
Ending the blog with a poem of mine and link of a beautiful song name "Imagine" by John Lennon.
